Dr.Akbar Ali,
PhD, M.Phil, M.A (Gold Medal)

Dr. Akbar Ali is Assistant Professor of Public Administration. He was awarded Doctorate in Public Administration from University of Rajasthan, Jaipur in the year 2008 and awarded Departmental Scholarship for doing his PhD. He is awarded UGC NET degree in 2007 in the academic discipline of Public Administration. Prior to joining SLS-PDPU, he has taught in St.Xavier’s College, Jaipur as Assistant Professor of Public Administration, Consultant and Research Officer in Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA) New Delhi. He has experience in research, teaching and training in different areas of Public Administration and social sector development .During the course of his PhD he had done field study of three Districts in Rajasthan, out of which two were facing drought and one was facing devastating flood. Discussed various issues viz. problems faced by citizens and the administration during the disasters, examined how promptly administration should deal with these situations, role of general public, NGOs and other institutions and assessed need of training in areas related to Disaster Management.
