The M.Sc Finance programme is of 80 credits. The 12 (Twelve) subjects in four semesters carries 6 (Six) credits each with total 72 credits. In Third and Fourth semesters 2 (two) research dissertations having 4 (Four) credits each with total 08 credits.
Competition & Camps
Rural Life & Agricultural Science Exposure Program
Students of B.Sc. (Hons.), School of Liberal Studies participated in the ‘Rural Life & Agricultural Science Exposure Program’ at Sembal Paani, Banaskantha for three days. The program was conducted by Lokniketan Trust, Sembal Paani on 2-4 January, 2017.
During the program, students have learned about the type of farming, difference between conventional farming and organic farming, modern farming techniques and equipments, various schemes and programs on farming/farmers offered by the government etc. Interaction with the successful farmers of nearby areas was made students more interested in agricultural. Students then engaged in hands – on learning through farming.
The three days program also involved rock climbing, rappelling, caving, trekking along with flora and fauna introduction, rope knots, bird watching, star gazing, GPS Navigation etc.
Students had thoroughly enjoyed an unique educational agricultural exposure and the challenging adventurous activities throughout the program.
Adventure cum Nature Study Program
School of Liberal Studies had organised Adventure cum Nature Study Program at Sembal Paani, Banaskantha (180 kms from Ahmedabad) for first year students under the Audit Course 2014-15.
Sembal Paani is surrounded by dates trees, open scrubland and farm lands on hillocks of Aravalli. It is a part of Balaram - Ambaji wildlife sanctuary which has a wonderful art in form of rocks with scenic beauty of Nature. There is a beautiful monsoonal waterfall called Pareva.
The two-day program involved rock climbing, rappelling, caving, peak climbing ‘Kanjelo’, trekking, rope knots, bird watching, old tribal village houses visit, night trekking, cross country trek to pareva pani along with flora and fauna introduction. A professional agency was hired to provide a safe and holistic experience to the students. The students have experienced an unique, challenging and inspirational adventure.

Final session of Drama (Murder (Mime), Idga , Media, Violin (Mime)) as on 20th November, 2009conducted by SLS Students as part of Understanding Theatrical Arts.
Drama Competition
On the occasion of Teacher's Day, 'Soul Pepper' - The Pandit Deendayal Energy University Theatrics Club organised 'Proscenium' - Grand Finale, the University Drama Night on 3rd September, 2010. The event was graced by the presence of Playwright, Media teacher & Founder of Theatre and Media Center, (BUDRETI trust) based in Ahmedabad, Shri Hasmukh Baradi. Amongst the other judges we had Shri Kabir Mansuri and faculties Prof. Ashish Sarkar and Prof. Neeta Khurana. The evening saw 5 stand-up comedians, 3 skits and a mime, all of which were in-house productions and self-directed by the students. The skits were based on topics like Women Empowerment, Regionalism and Unemployment, all of which were beautifully handled and projected on-stage. The stand-Up comedians touched the funny bone of the audience through their hilarious jokes. The Mime saw some very good display of acting and facial expressions. Each one of the performances was highly appreciated. The Mime was awarded the first prize. Soul Pepper aims at creating a Theatrical platform for PDEU. Through its performances in and around the University. It is soon gaining laurels and appreciation everywhere.STUDY IN INDIA PROGRAMME

13 Dec. 2019: Dr. Prakash Chauhan, the Director of Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun visited the School of Liberal Studies on 13th December 2019. Dr. Chauhan addressed the students and faculty members of SLS on the activities performed by his organization.

Report - Symposium on transgender
School of Liberal Studies (SLS) under Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) in collaboration with Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) conducted a symposium on Transgender Employment Concerns. This symposium was the first step taken by SLS to educate and sensitize both students and teachers on the issues related to transgender employment opportunities and the hardships faced by them on a day to day basis. The panel for the symposium consisted of 6 guest speakers: Mr. Manavendra Singh Gohil, the Prince of Rajpipla and the Head of Lakshya Trust which works for the LGBT community; Prof. ShurtBrahmbhatt, Professor of United world School of Law, Karnavati University, Gandhinagar; Dr. ShivayBachani, a transman practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in Ahmedabad; Dr. DebjyotiDatta, Ms. Shivani Rath and Ms. Ayesha. Dr. Datta. Ms.Rath are currently working on identifying the developmental trauma amongst the queer community project and eunuch community regarding their mental health care and perceptions, pre and post 2014 Supreme Court judgement and Ms. Ayesha is the project director of Lakshya Trust and the first person to hold the Ms.Transqueen India, in 2017.

A Day With Mr. Jaywant Pandya
The Mass Communication area of the department of Languages, Literature and Aesthetics (LLA) of the School of Liberal Studies (SLS) has come up with a concept: ‘A day with’. As per the concept, the department planned to invite professionals from various fields to take up sessions for the students. The expert will further be available in the campus for giving additional guidance to the students if necessary. The ultimate goal is to help the students to get an opportunity to interact in and outside classrooms for any additional knowledge.

‘Demystifying: Research Writing Workshop’ was organized by the Department of Languages, Literature and Aesthetics on Friday 23rd & Monday, 26th August, 2019. IHD Internship Report
The Institute for Human Development is one of India’s major research think tanks at New Delhi. It is a not-for-profit organization that aims and work towards the welfare of the society. It is a diverse organization with researchers working extensively in the fields of ICT, Employment, Education and many more. The team of Lead-researchers themselves come from varied and diverse fields of social sciences. It was a major opportunity for us to work under such dynamic and intellectual mentors.
Workshop on Videography
The School of Liberal Studies (SLS) under Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) hosted a two-day workshop on videography for all the students of Mass Communication at its Gandhinagar campus. Ms. Amrita Chakraborty, Lecturer of Media and Communication coordinated the event. The workshop is being delivered in collaboration with Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) in Hyderabad. The two expert faculty members of AISFM, who are delivering the workshop, include M.V. Raghu, the Head of the Department of Cinematography and Raman Iyer, an Associate Professor of Cinematography.
Thesis Writing Workshop
A thesis writing workshop was conducted for the School of Technology (SOT), PDEU, on Wednesday, 15th May 2019. The day-long workshop was conceptualized keeping in mind the writing needs of doctoral candidates registered at SOT. Doctoral Committee meetings and PhD seminars are designed to provide feedback on a graduate students’ work from the perspective of disciplinary research. However, these sessions do not provide much insight into the act of writing the thesis itself, which is a major aspect of successfully completing a PhD. The writing workshop was organized with a view to provide basic insight into the skill-set required to successfully begin and complete the writing process. The workshop was designed as a hands-on writing exercise where participants wrote a section based on their research and one-to-one feedback was provided, in addition to general guidelines.
GREEN TEACHERS TRAINING PROGRAMME
Green Teachers Training Program was successfully organized by Green Mentors in Association with School of Liberal Studies (SLS), PDEU. This three days national level training program was attended by approximately 60 delegates from different states of India. Program was coordinated by Shri Virendra Rawat, Director, Green solutions & private Ltd., Dr. Ritu Sharma and Prof. Nigam Dave, Dean & Director, SLS, PDEU.
Article on Vachikam
Department of Languages, Literature and Aesthetics organized ‘Vachikam – A Dramatic Reading’ of the play on May 1, 2019 by the Master of Arts (English) students. It was Prof. Nigam Dave’s suggestion that the students who study a course on Literature and Theatre Arts should also receive an insight of the process of performance. Taking this in positive stride, the Master of Arts students under the guidance of Mr. Chintan Pandya, a visiting faculty and an artist himself, prepared the first act of the play ‘Six Characters in Search of an Author’. The play is authored by a very famous 20th century Italian playwright Luigi Pirandello.
7TH STUDY IN INDIA
The School of Liberal Science, Pandit Deendayal Energy University organised its 7th Study in India (short term pan India) Program from 29th April 2019 to 11th May 2019. The aim of the programme focused on the module of ‘Psychology, Gender and Policy Perspective in Indian Culture’. Delegation comprising 10 members from Canada-India Center of Excellence, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada were a part of this programme. Prof. Nigam Dave, Director & Head, Office of International Relations (OIR), Program chairs Dr. Ritu Sharma, Ms. Neeta Khurana and Dr. D. Sriram, with a team of student coordinators Ms. Rhicha Tripathi, Mr. Hitesh Ganwani and Ms. Hiteshree Dudani along with the OIR team including Mr. Martin Santhan, Project Coordinator weaved this three-credit course. The objective of this course is to provide students with a practical overview of the cross-cultural facets in context to processes and issues which they must understand to manage people, behaviour and policy along with close interaction with the Indian society to understand Indian Culture. The program has been designed with intensive and rigorous training for 97 hours spread across two weeks and 7 cities of India.
Mental Hospital Visit
On Monday, April 08, 2019, 21 students of Psychology Minor Batch ’16 visited the Hospital of Mental Health, Shahibaug, Ahmedabad, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. IST. This brief but intensive field trip provided first hand practical insight into the workings of a mental hospital and the day-to-day activities of mental health professionals including but not limited to psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, psychiatric nurses, mental health social workers and psychometrists to name a few. The major objective of the field trip was to get students to relate their classroom knowledge of symptoms and treatments of mental disorders to the real-world setting, observing similarities as well as discrepancies.

Capsule Course
A Capsule Course on Global Citizenship was organized on 8th and 9th April, 2019 at the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), PDEU. The capsule courses are skill focused short term courses provided by PDEU to hone the talent of the youth. Capsule course on Global Citizenship is modelled on the UNESCO SDG goal of providing understanding of Global Citizenship and inclusivity to students. The course was conducted by Prof. Nigam Dave and the sessions were taken by SLS faculty members along with Preyan Mehta. The participants of the course brainstormed on the global challenges and solutions.
Distinguished Lecture by the High Commissioner of Rwanda
Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) hosted a Distinguished Lecture with His Excellency Ernest Rwamucyo, High Commissioner of Rwanda to India on 24th April, 2019. The topic of the lecture was “United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: Role of India and Rwanda in South - South Cooperation”. The event was hosted at Block – B at PDEU Campus.
Farewell Ceremony of Final Year Students of SLS
Every new beginning is often disguised as an end and heavy-hearted with this sentiment, the School of Liberal Studies bid farewell to yet another batch. While goodbyes are often difficult to say sometimes it’s not necessary that everything must be said. But more often than not, even articulation does not cut it. With this responsibility, the school, on 29 and 30 of April held informal and formal farewell ceremonies for the Under-graduate batch of 2015 & Graduate batch of 2017. The programme was organized by the batch of 2016, under the guidance of a senior student Vidhi Thakkar, and Dr. Niyati Trivedi.

A precise and comprehensive Curriculum Vitae (CV) is the need of the hour in today’s professional world. Many a times, the first impression of a prospective intern or employee is made right by looking at their CV. Students at undergraduate level often are confused on the right format for a professional CV. In order to train them effectively, a workshop was organized by the Training and Placement Cell, SLS on ‘How to build an Impressive CV’. Phalgun Kumar, Principal Consultant at Education Mural was invited as an expert to train the students on 17th April 2019 at SLS.

The Training and Placement (T & P) Cell of SLS organized a special session on ‘How to use LinkedIn for professional networking and career guidance for higher education’ on 19th April 2019 and invited Phalgun Kumar, as the external expert. Kumar, who is currently working as the Principal Consultant at Education Mural came along with his core team comprising of Anushka Chandran and Karan. The workshop was attended by students of different streams of SLS.

Department of Languages, Literature and Aesthetics organized a one day workshop on ‘Metasis’ on understanding tensions of translating and politics of translation on Wednesday, March 28, 2019. REGULATION OF COMPETITION IN INDIAN MARKETS
A seminar on ‘Regulation of Competition in Indian markets’ was organized on 18th March from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. at PDEU campus by the Economics Area faculties of the Department of Social Science. Mr. Yogesh Dubey, Deputy Director, Competition Commission of India (CCI), from New Delhi was the guest speaker. Participants were mainly from 2nd year to 4th year of BA/BBA, SLS. They learnt about the different areas of research and career opportunities at Competition Commission of India. The seminar aimed to enlighten students about the role of CCI in regulating competition among firms and monitoring mergers and acquisitions within India. The event was anchored by Ms. Jayati Gupta, a student from Economics Major of BBA15 batch.
Expert Talk By Prof. Coomi Vevaina
On Tuesday, March 19, 2019, an expert talkwith Prof. Coomi Vevaina was organized by the Department of Languages, Literature and Aesthetics, SLS. The theme of the talk was ‘Re-thinking Education in Digital Age’, a very relevant area of discussion. The talk was interactive and informative. Prof. Vevaina began with a story of a little girl who turned out to be her own childhood self. Emphasizing upon the importance to understand childhood phase, she conveyed her inter-connected message through different stories. The talk aimed to bring out various strategies for creating meaningful effect on learning environment. She presented her innovative ideas through interesting narrations and visual presentation.

A workshop was organized for the final year students of Human Resource Management on the topic ‘Understanding International Human Resource Management (IHRM)’. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Manasi Parikh on 22nd February, 2019. The workshop captures various practical and real-time challenges like dual career couples, cultural compatibility and governance issues faced by Expatriate Management of IHRM.

An event of career conclave was organized on 1st February 2019, by Department of Business Administration and Commerce, School of Liberal Studies (SLS) at PDEU Campus. Mr. Micheal Louis Flores was invited as an eminent speaker for this conclave. Mr. Micheal Louis Flores is a consultant to various leading international organizations across globe including St.Anthony’s Girls Catholic Academy. He also had a broad experience of 42 years in teaching French and Spanish.
Stress Management for Academic Excellence
Team HR, PDEU along with SLS organized an expert talk on Stress Management for Academic Excellence by Dr. Udaya Kumar Reddy on February, 2019 for the faculty members, staff members and students of PDEU. Workplace stress and challenges regarding communication diversity can be a source of unmanageable stress and conflict which can affect the employees’ quality of life and excellence at work. This session was designed to make participants understand and be aware of the need and possibilities to manage self and environment. The event also aimed to minimize stress and reduce conflict among employees for organizational excellence.

The School of Liberal Studies (SLS), Pandit Deendayal Energy University organised its 6th Study in India short term pan India program from 1st February, 2019 to 15th February, 2019. The aim of the programme focused on the module of Indian Psychology. Delegation comprising seventeen students from Psychology and two academicians of Psychology from Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia were a part of this programme. Prof. Nigam Dave, Director and Head of the Office of International Relations(OIR), Program chairs Dr. Ritu Sharma and Prof. Eyal Gringart from ECU with a team of student coordinators Ms. Hiteshree Dudani, Mr. Hitesh Ganwani and Ms. Rhicha Triphati along with the OIR team including Mr. Martin Santhan, Project Coordinator weaved this three-credit course. The objective of this course was to provide a practical overview along with the close interaction with the Indian society to understand Indian Psychology. The program has been designed with intensive and rigorous training for 113 hours spread across two weeks and 8 cities of India.
Winter Internship for MA Applied Psychology and BA Psychology
Seven students of Master of Arts (MA), Psychology from the School of Liberal Studies (SLS) completed a one month long winter internship at Kanoria Hospital and Research Centre. The internship by the ten students from Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) was conducted at DPS Prerna, Bopal. The internship programme was facilitated by Dr. Rajendra Anand, CEO at Kanoria Hospital, Ms. Sangeeta Hinduja, Head DPS Prerna in coordination with Dr. Ritu Sharma from SLS.
Workshop on Big Data Analytics
A workshop was organized on Big Data Analytics by the Department of Business Administration and Commerce, SLS, PDEU on February 26, 2019. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Ankur Sharma, Big Data Architect from Tata Consultancy Service (TCS) and Mr. Nilesh Gol, Senior Project Manager from INTECH Pvt. Ltd. The programme began with the introduction of the basic concepts of the big data and then moved to the complex algorithms. The workshop was highly appreciated by the students of commerce and management.

A workshop was conducted by Mr. Ranjan Derhgawen, I/C Training & SEE (Separated Employees Establishment) at ONGC on February 25, 2019 for the 3rd and 4th year students of Human Resource Management. Two day workshop on Microsoft Excel was organized February 11-12, 2019 at School of Liberal Studies (SLS), PDEU. The workshop was organized by Library and Information Centre in joint collaboration with the Department of Business Administration and Department of Social Sciences. The objective of the workshop was to train students on usage of MS Excel and hands-on practice for data analysis. Activities by Departments_Report of CMIE Workshop
A workshop on CMIE Prowess IQ database was organized on 30th January 2019 at Computer Lab I, Block C of Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU). The workshop was organized by Library and Information Centre in joint collaboration with the Department of Social Sciences. The objective of the workshop was to train students on the ‘Usefulness of CMIE Database in Research’ and hands-on experience on the usage of database was given to the participants during the three-hour session. Mr. Prashant Joshi, Business Development Manager at the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE) Limited based at Ahmedabad was invited as the technical expert for guiding the participants on the types of data available in the Prowess IQ database and to guide on data extraction from the database.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University partnered with Wings2Fly The Foundation to organize a one-day Seminar to celebrate their successful completion of five years of service to society, specifically the rehabilitation and economic empowerment of women with a criminal past and women who have been marginalized by society by providing them with skills and practical training to become financially independent and earn a respectable living on the 7th of October, 2018 at PDEU.

Expert Talk on TEAM CBT_Required Editing
An expert talk on TEAM CBT: A New Model for Psychotherapy was delivered by Dr. Dipti Joshi, MA, PhD at the Schools of Liberal Studies (SLS), Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar. Dr. Joshi is a Psychologist and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with 18 years of experience for helping patients to live happier and self-fulfilling lives. She has attended her trainings from Salford University Manchester under Dr. Andrew Beck and Feeling Good Institute California, under Dr. David Burns. She is currently a level 1 TEAM CBT therapist Certified by Feeling Good Institute. The event was conducted for students to have insights about TEAM CBT. Around thirty to forty students from Section A, B and C, Batch 2017; Psychology Major and Minor students of 2015 and 2016 along with the MA Psychology students of 2018 attended the session.
Expert talk on TRANCE-formation Mind Based Hypnotherapy Techniques
The Psychology Department of the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), organized a guest talk on hypnotherapy under the Guidance of Dr. Ritu Sharma. The guest talk was done for the students to have more insight about hypnotherapy as a field. Resource person for the guest talk was Ms. Rirri G. Trivedi. Ms. Trivedi is a certified Regression Therapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist and a trainer in Integrated Clinical Hypnotherapy with EKAA foundation. The audience comprised of around fifty to sixty students of BA Psychology Batch of 2016 and 2017 along with the MA Psychology students of SLS, PDEU.
Introduction to Government
The School of Liberal Studies hosted a three day capsule course on ‘Introduction to Government’ from 27th November, 2018 to 29th November, 2018. The course was designed and structured with the help of an eminent faculty Mr. C.K. Koshy, Retired Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Gujarat. The event brought together around 60 undergraduate and post-graduate students of ‘Public Administration’, ‘Law and Governance’ and ‘Political Science’ who extensively participated in discussions and interactive dialogue to collaboratively understand the ‘how’ and ‘what’ of government. In the direction of building up a holistic understanding of the government and it’s functioning, government officials and professional practitioners from the field of Urban Planning, Engineering and Governance were invited to facilitate a few sessions for the participants.
One Day Workshop on UGC-NET Exam Preparation
A one-day workshop on UGC-NET Examination was held on the 6th of December, 2018 at the School of Liberal Studies (SLS), PDEU. The event was organized by Dr. Ritu Sharma and Dr. Anurag Kumar Srivastava. Resource person for the workshop were Mr. Taronish Pastakia, Ms. Vishakha Bhavsar, Mr. Murnal Patel and Dr. Venkatesh. Around thirty students participated in the workshop.
Panel Discussion On Youth Well-Being
Questions are often asked as to why young people may be disengaging from education. One potential answer is related to poor mental health, a significant barrier for young people meaningfully engaging in education. To help address this, AATMANN-The psychology club of PDEU committee comprised of education providers, mental health professionals and a variety of community and youth service representatives, organized a panel discussion which was on the 16th of November, 2018. PDEU and EBS University Collaboration and International Guest Talk on Academic and Career opportunities at EBS Business School
The collaboration and MoU signing ceremony between Pandit Deendayal Energy University, Gandhinagar and EBS Business and Law University, Germany took place on November 14, 2018 at PDEU campus. This is PDEU’s first collaboration with a Europe based University and EBS’s first collaboration with an Indian University for an Undergraduate program. Prof. David Windsor the Associate Dean International Affairs of EBS Business and Law University arrived at PDEU in the morning and was given a warm welcome. Prof. Windsor was given a campus tour thereafter. He liked the PDEU campus and especially how the students cared for the stray dogs in the campus. After a brief meeting with Prof. Nigam Dave, Dr. Ritu Sharma and the faculty members of the Management Department of SLS, Prof. Windsor gave a Guest talk to the SLS first and second year students on the academic and career opportunities at EBS Business School. He also talked about the benefits of the Dual Degree Program between PDEU and EBS. Towards the end of the session he showed a video to the students of the EBS Symposium 2018, to give the PDEU student an idea about the students and environments of the EBS University.

The Department of Social Sciences, School of Liberal Studies, organized a special talk on October 12th, 2018 on ‘Investment Awareness and Options for Young Investors’. Mr. Siddharth Shah, the founder of Shalibhadra Firm - an investment and brokerage firm was the speaker of the event.
Research and career prospects in Economics
A seminar on ‘Research and career prospects in Economics’ was organized on 16th October from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at PDEU campus by the Economics Area faculties of Department of Social Sciences. Dr. Tulika Tripathi, Assistant Professor at Central University, Gujarat was the guest speaker of the event. Participants were mainly from 2nd year to 4th year of BA/BBA, SLS. They learnt about the different areas of research and career opportunities across the various fields of Economics. The seminar aimed to enlighten students with the emerging areas/disciplines in the field of research in Economics and the suitable career options and opportunities in Microeconomics. The event was attended by the students of the Economics Department and was anchored by Ms. Niharika Marigoudar, Student of Economics Major from BBA16 batch.
SPSS Workshop report
A training workshop on the usage of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software was organized on 22nd-23rd October 2018 by the Library and Information Centre and Economics Area faculty of Department of Social Sciences, School of Liberal Studies (SLS) at Block D, PDEU campus. Prof. Gaurang Rami, Professor (Economics), Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat was the Resource person for the two-day workshop. The objective of the workshop was to provide intensive training on the everyday use of SPSS software for data analysis. The need for such training workshop was felt after successful procurement of this licensed software by the Library and Information Centre. The direct beneficiaries of this workshop were the researchers using empirical research, final year students writing their dissertation, students studying econometrics and statistics, students doing internally or externally funded-projects along with a number of faculty members and staff of the varsity. The workshop received an overwhelming response in terms of student and faculty participation.
Transdisciplinary Idea and Visit to Dainik Bhaskar Office
A group of 24 students of Mass Communication Department of PDEU were taken for a field visit on transdisciplinary idea at Divya Bhaskar on the 19th of November, 2018. The tour was accompanied by two faculty members Mr. Mukund Shukla and Ms. Amrita Chakraborty. It was a day long visit which included lots of practical learning, exposure to newspaper editorial and publishing industry, lectures by industry experts, followed by Question and Answer Sessions. Their day started at the Bhaskar House with an insightful session by the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Amit Doshi, who talked about his experiences, management style, work in media business sector, Audiences Insight (from Psychological insight) and the likes. He has also inspired the students with his wise words.
Transdisciplinary Idea and Visit to TV9 Studio
A group of 22 students of Mass Communication Department of PDEU were taken for a field visit on transdisciplinary idea at TV9 Studio. The group was accompanied by Mr. Mukund Shukla, Lecturer of Mass Communication. It was a day long visit which included lots of practical learning, exposure to the television news broadcasting industry and lecture by Senior Journalist of TV9 along with question and answer sessions. The day started at the studio, with an insightful tour of the various departments of a Television Broadcasting House, including the operating room which makes and generates audio-visual news and blogs for the online portal. Thereafter, an informative session was taken by Mr. Maulik Mehta, Senior Journalist in TV9 Studio at the conference room. He spoke about the departments and various designations of the organization, roles and responsibilities of staff and journalists, work hours in media, tricks of reporting and finally conveyed his experiences, which shed light on the management perspective. He also shared his thoughts on the role of a journalist in the society, collection of news, advertisements revenue and the likes. He focussed on the economic perspective of the organization while mentioning the reasons behind their organization being one of the top in Gujarat.
